VIDEO: CAP CEE ON TRL NOV. 12, 2008

Here it is. Video from my appearance on MTV's TRL. Shouts to Jenny from casting that made it possible for me to be back. Shouts to Dave George and Rob Dixter for giving me the chance back in 2000 to experience a great moment in my life. There is actually a lesson learned from all this. During the first time that I was on, I learned alot, from who to trust, to who your real friends are, to seperate showbiz from your private life. Really, what I did was what anyone else can do. This is for all you emcees, djs, producers: If you just believe in yourself, things can happen. I still can't believe it was 8 yrs ago. By the way, alot of heads ask me how I got my name. Well, my rap name was Capital Cee and when they were introducing me to Carson Daly, he shortened it and called me Cap Cee. I liked it, and it stuck with me ever since. Thanks Carson. TRL is now off the air, but it won't be forgotten...

So, 8 yrs ago, your boy Cap Cee was on this little show on MTV called TRL, spitiing rhymes with Eminem, hanging with Xzibit, Ice Cube, Snoop, etc. Well, 8 yrs later, TRL is about to be cancelled, and they hit up your boy to come back and be a special guest on the show. Bascially, they are gonna show clips from when I was on, and then interview me on a "where is he now: type deal. Fine with me, lets get this crackin'. The download is a little club mix snippet for all you heads who ask for a demo, there will be mix cds coming real soon, so stay tuned...and tune in Wednesday at 3:30pm on MTV.

The Aftermath: Monster Mash-Up 2

First of all, I have been extremely busy so now I have time to post up about our Monster Mash-Up Party that happened Halloween night. One word: INSANE!!!!! Our biggest party yet, and as you can see, it was packed. Shouts to everyone who came out, thanks for the support. I had heads from NYC, Poconos, Philly, and Jersey come out for this, thats whats up. Another successful party. "Plaid" was actually a funny experience for me and the crew, but overall, it was a great time. Alot of dancing and alot of drinking makes everything alright. THE HIP HOP 101 SHOW! What can I say, probably one of my greatest accomplishments. It had a 7 year run, and what a beautiful run it had. I played nothing but the illest hip hop tracks around, be it mainstream, underground, and local. Alot of artists around my way still say thanks for putting them on the air. Me and my many co-hosts(shouts to Lana and Josh and Optix)put out a quality show that had listeners feenin' for more. Interviews, album reviews, and current events that happened in the hip hop world was the show's format, and we represented it right, with a touch of humor. I think what got me the most was the fact that our biggest fans were the inmates in local county jails(shouts to LCP and NCP). They use to write letters to us to give them a shout out and play their favorite joints and also in these letters, they use to tell us how our show kept them going. I had some of the inmates come and visit me when I use to work at the Undaground Set and give me props and say thanks for doing the show. The most memorable show I did was when I did a special Thanksgiving show where I had the families of inmates call up the station and wish there loved ones in jail a Happy Thanksgiving. Some of the inmates even called up and wished their families the same. I shed a tear that day. Well here is a mix of joints that I use to bang at the station. Shouts to WLVR, AJ Fritz and all the staff, peace.

P.S. How does it feel seeing us rise up, lol, ain't karma a bitch...bitch.

VIDEO: Kanye West - Good Morning

I gotta talk about this. Kanye has had one of the wildest years. He dropped the dopest album, Graduation, had the hottest tour(Glow in the Dark)which I got to see, amazing. And the videos. Every video had a vision, from "Stronger" w/ Daft Punk, to the Spike Jonez "Flashing Lights", "Good Life"s On screen wordplay, to "Champion" with a Kanye Puppet. Oh, and I forgot "Homecoming" with a black & white ode to Chi-Town. But this is the way to end the series of videos for this masterpiece of an album. "Good Morning" has the man who made the album artwork, Takashi Murakami, do the video. His artwok is amazing and you can tell in this anime short. Kanye, who knows if you'll ever read this, but if you do, thanks for having an imagination, and not resorting to the usual bullshit rap video. Peace...

For the past couple of years, there has been all these color parties (white, black, red, pink, etc.) and I was guilty of djing some of them (Bacio's was still the best white party) Anyways, I was talking with Mo about how we can make a play on these color parties, cracking jokes like we should do something with Crayola and introduce a color party(lol) and so on and so forth. So, I was approached by my good friend $weet to cover for him on the wicked mix vol.3 for Funtown(thats another blog) and I said sure, but what I made wasn't the vibe they wanted, so I'm putting this mix out myself for all to download. See, here is the thing. Everyone listens to what I do at the club. What you don't know is that I spin all types of music, so does my crew, so what you might think is left field for us, is actually how we get down. Yes, we are guilty of these parties, and we must say, its cool being the usual suspects. Crush, Sight & Sound, Glow, Art & Sole, Spring on 4th, Pulse, and Mash-Up 2, insane. By the way, these were our first parties as Audio Dynamikz (not bad). Shouts to our flyer art master, PO (by the way, he owns a dope skateshop on 4th St. in Southside Beth. called Homebase, go and buy something, support local) Anyways, here is a little explanation about us: Audio Dynamikz was started to bring back life into the night. To set the bar high in events. To bring you an experience. Big check mark by all those, and we will continue to bring you nothing but the best. Honestly tho, these parties would not be possible if it wasn't for you, the patrons, so give yourselves a round of applause.
